Melis Şamdancı

Born in Istanbul in 2003, she graduated from the Filmmaking Department at Sussex University in England. Her short film, Eternal Muse, won the Rising Star Award at a BAFTA-qualifying film festival. Her experimental film, The Office from My Childhood Dreams, had its world premiere at the Berlin Fashion Film Festival and was a finalist at the Istanbul Spring Festival.Her photographs have been the subject of critical articles in ArtDog Istanbul and were exhibited at Contemporary Istanbul Bloom, represented by Piramid Sanat.Her films and photographs focus on identity, existence, and the boundary between dreams and reality.
